It is very well-known that one of the most surprising customs to any foreigner in Spain is the one which you are required to kiss each other on the cheek every time you meet or greet someone. It seems to be more of a Mediterranean custom, than just a Spanish one. Italy, France, Greece, Portugal, we all kiss to say hi or bye. 🙂

Today we wanted to take a closer look at one of the most iconic ‘kiss’ paintings in history, ‘The Kiss’ by Gustav Klimt. However, today we bring it to you with a twist. Estella Tse, a VR artist has been using Google’s Tilt Brush to create some incredible pieces of art. Among many other pieces Estella Tse completed a reproduction of Klimt’s ‘The Kiss’. In the video below Estella Tse, gives us a little overview on the whole process of re-painting the masterpiece. «Applying the correct texture to the painting was the hardest part to keep under control» Estella Tse says. Although, her mastery shows no hesitation when it comes to re-doing the whole painting.

Estella is part of the Google Tilt Brush residency program and the Daydream NYC teams and has been a speaker at Comic Con International and the Unity Vision Summit. We can safely say that Estella is a VR artist. Before we go into Estella’s master painting class, take a look at the most iconic kisses in art history.
