Cambridge Exam Free Course Online Preparation
For the past 15 years we have been involved in a project that has analysed each and every detail of the preparation of all the Cambridge exams. From the PET (B1) to the CPE (C2). We analysed thousands of exams and the materials used to make them, as well as the opinions of hundreds of teachers. Out of all the great information we compiled, we have selected the three most relevant pieces of evidence to successfully pass any of the Cambridge exams
Research evidence #1: You need to practise the parts of the Cambridge exam DAILY
Cambridge exams are probably one of the most objective and systematic exams in language proficiency testing. The exams are very well crafted to test all the aspects involved in language acquisition like grammar, vocabulary, discourse, etc. So, all the different parts of the exam are almost mechanical in the sense that you need to do the same thing every time. The only way to actually complete the test successfully is to assimilate what you need to do in each part and do it within the time-frame you are given.
You can only do this if you practise every day.
Research evidence #2: You need to know your level accurately
It is very important to know:
Your starting point. (Your current level of English)
Which level you would like to certify through any of the Cambridge exams.
There are many tools that will help you find out your level and not only that, these placement tests will also tell you which areas you need to improve the most. You can even try our Cambridge English Level Test here and you will find out what your current level of English is. Once you know your level, it will be easier to determine which exam to take up first and how you will need to train to pass it. Remember, practising the exam every day is the key.
Research evidence #3: You need to practise the speaking part of the exam at least 10 times, before the day of the exam
All the parts of the exam except for the speaking part can be practised either with the use of books, or online platforms. But the speaking part needs to be done with a specialised tutor. An average of 10 (30-minute sessions) are the ideal amount of speaking lessons to learn how to face the speaking part of the Cambridge exam.
